In this final message of our stewardship series, Pastor Lindsay Kirkpatrick explored the story found in Luke 7:36-50 where Jesus is anointed by a sinful woman with the alabaster jar of costly perfume. In this sermon Pastor Lindsay challenged us to consider the blessings that God has given to us that we are grateful for just as the sinful woman was blessed with forgiveness.
From the classic story of Lazarus being raised from the dead by Jesus, Pastor Lindsay Kirkpatrick explained that when it comes to God-sized dreams it takes more than a lot of work-it takes a life of prayer. Martha takes her dead dream and brings it to Jesus. (from John 11:1-27,38-44)

Yesterday was Father's Day Sunday and Pastor Mike's sermon was entitled'Living Life In the State of Denial'.The message focused on how to deny ourselves, take up the cross and become a disciple and follower of Jesus Christ.
From Matthew 16:24-26Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
The praise band opened the service with one of our original songs called Today.
Next Sunday will be Pastor Mike's last service with the Asbury UMC family.
