  • Today (Mike Lindstrom, Tom Lascoe)
  • This Is Amazing Grace (Jeremy Riddle, Josh Farro, Phil Wickham)
  • Your Love Never Fails (Anthony Skinner, Chris McClarney)
  • I Will Follow  (Chris Tomlin, Jason Ingram, Rueben Morgan)
    6-15-14 Worship Recap:
  • Yesterday was Father's Day Sunday and Pastor Mike's sermon was entitled 'Living Life In the State of Denial' . The message focused on how to deny ourselves, take up the cross and become a disciple and follower of Jesus Christ.
  • From Matthew 16:24-26  Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
  • The praise band opened the service with one of our original songs called Today.
  • For the offering song the Asbury Praise Band sang 'Your Love Never Fails'  (Jesus Culture version) and closed the service with 'I Will Follow'.
  • Next Sunday will be Pastor Mike's last service with the Asbury UMC family.

For those who have not heard, as of July 1st Pastor Mike Lindstrom will be serving as an Interim Pastor in the Texas Annual Conference while also exploring new ways of helping others experience Jesus. He and Jan will be moving to the Conroe area. This means his last Sunday with Asbury will be June 22nd.
The new pastor appointed by our Bishop is Rev. Lindsay Kirkpatrick.  As we begin the process of saying goodbye to Pastor Mike, we also look forward to new opportunities and the chance to welcome Rev. Kirkpatrick and her family—her first Sunday is July 6th.
