Continuing our new sermon series called 'Along The Way'. Pastor Mike's message was entitled 'Unload Excess Baggage' and our scripture reading was focused on forgiveness found in Colossians 3:13- Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
For the Peace offering song at the end of Welcome time the Asbury Praise Band sang 'Bless The Lord'-(New Life Worship version)

We began a new sermon series entitled 'Along The Way'. Pastor Mike message was entitled 'Pack The Basics' and our scripture reading was Colossians 3:12- Compassion, humility, kindness, gentleness and patience (and ultimately love) - these are what we are called to "clothe ourselves with."

5-12-14 Worship Recap:

Pastor Mike preached a special Mother's Day message entitled 'A Mother's Gift' and our scripture reading was 1 Samuel 1:1-28 - Hannah receives a gift of a child in response to her prayer. She then "gifts" her child back to God in response to his faithfulness. A tough call to give up a longed for child, but in the end he served God's purpose well.

Zach Cotton led the praise band vocals on the song "Ascend". Our church loves to sing this great song- please listen to this youtube video.
Pastor Mike's message was 'Reframing Reality' and our scripture reading was Luke 24:13-35 - (On the Road to Emmaus two friends comfort and console each other. They are joined by a stranger who walks with them in their time of grief and confusion. Later they discover Jesus was with them all along. When he broke the bread they "remembered". Scripture and Sacrament are enough to see us through.)
