7-27-14 Worship Recap:

Sunday's message from 1 Kings 19:8-18 was entitled ''Dream Big, Pray Hard-' Hope'. Pastor Lindsay Kirkpatrick explained: (1) What to do if you find yourself in a wilderness place like Elijah did, and (2) How to get back to the promised land of life with the God of hope.
Also included in the worship service were two songs by a group of the children from the 2014 Wilderness Escape VBS. They sang 'This Is How We Overcome' &'I Will Trust You.'

7-13-14 Worship Recap:

Our guest speaker Sunday was Rev. Brandi Horton.
Her message was entitled 'An Unexpected Savior' and came from Luke 10:25-37 telling the Parable of the Good Samaritan.
She challenged us with the questions: Are we the Good Samaritan? Do we see with merciful eyes? What happens when we are in the ditch?
For the offering the Asbury Praise Band sang 'God With Us', led by Kyle Kenney and the band closed the service with 'I Walk By Faith'.

Yesterday we welcomed our new Pastor Lindsay Kirkpatrick and family to the Asbury UMC Church family.
Her message came from Philippians 3:7-14 was titled 'Getting To Know You' and focused on getting to know Christ more in our lives.
For the offering the band sang 'Revelation Song', the Communion song was 'Jesus Messiah' and the band closed the service with 'In The Secret'.
