We continued our new sermon series entitled 'Along The Way'. This week Pastor Mike's sermon was entitled'Eat Right'and his message was aimed on filling our lives with the message of Christ as described in Colossians 3:16:Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.

Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

Pastor Mike preached a special Mother's Day message entitled 'A Mother's Gift'and our scripture reading was 1 Samuel 1:1-28 -Hannah receives a gift of a child in response to her prayer. She then "gifts" her child back to God in response to his faithfulness. A tough call to give up a longed for child, but in the end he served God's purpose well.

Pastor Mike's message was 'Reframing Reality'and our scripture reading was Luke 24:13-35 - (On the Road to Emmaus two friends comfort and console each other. They are joined by a stranger who walks with them in their time of grief and confusion. Later they discover Jesus was with them all along. When he broke the bread they "remembered". Scripture and Sacrament are enough to see us through.)
