6-22-14 Worship Recap:

• Yesterday was Pastor Mike's last sermon with the Asbury UMC Church family. 
• His message was entitled 'It's Time To Go' and he reminded us about the Great Commission and the call to take the Kingdom of God and the Good News of Jesus into the world. His first command is 'GO!" from Matthew 28:16
• For the offering the praise band sang One Thing Remains led by Kyle Kenney.

• For the closing song the Asbury praise band sang a special tribute song to Pastor Mike called 'Go Spread The Word' to the tune of 'Johnny B. Goode.'

For those who have not heard, as of July 1st Pastor Mike Lindstrom will be serving as an Interim Pastor in the Texas Annual Conference while also exploring new ways of helping others experience Jesus. 
He and Jan will be moving to the Conroe area. His last Sunday with Asbury was June 22nd. 
The new pastor appointed by our Bishop is Rev. Lindsay Kirkpatrick. 
 As we begin the process of saying goodbye to Pastor Mike, we also look forward to new opportunities and the chance to welcome Rev. Kirkpatrick and her family—her first Sunday is July 6th.
