Before long I found myself having to hear this song performed by a big band. Sometimes though, the subject of the song is just to big and I turned to God. The arrangement you hear is what came of it. It’s an explosion of sound that makes The Lord’s Prayer one of my favorite of all time done by anybody. And who can argue with the subject matter. The words are simply, the words of the Lord’s Prayer!”

Song Story:

Doug L. Henehan recently sent me the words to this song. He wrote that on a Friday morning in September of 1997, while at work at his plant in LaPorte, Texas, the words to this song formed in his spirit. Doug said he wrote these words down as best as he could and had a witness in his spirit & with his wife Carole that it would be best for him to let me do the music for this song. I consider it an honor to be able to co-author this song with Doug, which may be the first of several should the Lord so direct.
