When I fall into the hands of a giant
If the lion or the bear corners me
I’ll remember the cry of David
“You are the God who delivers me!”

You are the God who saves, glorious God who saves
You supply my every need!
I will shout for joy to the Lord Most High
You are my hope and strength!
The God who saves! The God who saves!

When I fall into the fiery furnace
To their image I’ll not bend my knee
I’ll remember the three Hebrew children:
“You are the God who delivers me!”

The God who saves, The God who saves
My Jesus, My strength!

The God who saves! The God who saves!

When I fall into the den of the lions
Refusing to worship their king
I’ll remember the cries of Daniel
“You are the God who delivers me!”

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah (repeat)

I will shout for joy to the Lord Most High
You are- my hope and strength!
The God who saves! The God who saves!

Song Story: In Matthew 6: 9-13 Jesus gave us the model prayer known as “The Lord’s Prayer.” This is my humble attempt to put this Holy word into song.

Be sure to check Living Waters Jazz’s big band arrangement of this song, available here:
The Lord’s Prayer, Big Band Style.mp3

Big band arranger Mark Graber states on his website: “When I listened to Tom’s midi, I couldn’t stop hearing the tune inside my head. Before long I found myself having to hear this song performed by a big band. Sometimes though, the subject of the song is just to big and I turned to God. The arrangement you hear is what came of it. It’s an explosion of sound that makes The Lord’s Prayer one of my favorite of all time done by anybody. And who can argue with the subject matter. The words are simply, the words of the Lord’s Prayer!”

Song Story:

Doug L. Henehan recently sent me the words to this song. He wrote that on a Friday morning in September of 1997, while at work at his plant in LaPorte, Texas, the words to this song formed in his spirit. Doug said he wrote these words down as best as he could and had a witness in his spirit & with his wife Carole that it would be best for him to let me do the music for this song. I consider it an honor to be able to co-author this song with Doug, which may be the first of several should the Lord so direct.

Chorus 1

Dwell in me
Dwell in me
Holy spirit
Dwell in me
Dwell in me
Dwell in me
Holy spirit
Dwell in me

Verse 1

I’m a living temple
Not of flesh and blood
A holy sanctuary
Made with faith and love
Hidden in the heart of
All who seek His face
Here I am Lord
Come into this place
Here I am Lord
Come into this place

Verse 2

Deep within the soul
Of every breath of man
There is a place
Where God can
Come and take His hand
Share His words of wisdom
Joy and peace and grace
Here I am Lord
Come into this place
Here I am Lord
Come into this place
